The M/C Anahi is a Power Catamaran Yacht, built in Guayaquil, Ecuador, launched by the end of 2006 with high comfort standards. With unparalleled stability, your cruise is guaranteed to be a restful and relaxed one.

The accommodation for sixteen voyagers is distributed amongst six 14m2 twin cabins on the main deck (2 transformable to double bed), and two 25m2 suite cabins on the upper deck. Every cabin includes large windows - portrait type - with a view to the ocean, beautiful wooden floor and cosy private facilities with hot/cold water shower, locker, closet and air conditioning.

Additionally, on the main deck, the yacht offers ample resting areas, library, TV-DVD room, comfortable dining room and lounge. On the upper deck, the yacht features a charming bar and an excellent area for relaxation, together with a Jacuzzi for six people. On top of the bar area we find the ample sundeck with resting chairs for eight people.

You will be attended by a Charming, helpful and experienced Crew of 8 well- trained staff members. We also provide a First Class Galapagos National Park Guide who fluently speaks English and Spanish. Ecuador is one of the smallest countries in America. It lies on both the Northen and the Sourthen Hemispheres and is divided by the Equator line, thus the name of the country. Quito: Capital city of Ecuador. The 2nd highest capital of South America rests along the foothills of the Pichincha volcano to 2800 m. height above sea level. It was originally inhabited by the pre-inca tribe. Quitus, whose name signifies “ Middle of the Earth” since the city is located 15 miles south of the Equator. Its history and fusion of cultures makes Quito a complex and fascinating city to discover, It is no wonder the city has been a recipient to international awards such as UNESCO´s First World Heritage Site in 1978 honoring the largest and best-preserved historical centers of America. In 2013, it was awarded the title of "The Leading Destination of South America" by the World Travel Awards.

Andes: Many of the provinces in Ecuador`s highlands are named after the most important mountain or volcano on its territory: Imbabura, Pichincha, Cotopaxi, Tungurahua, and Chimborazo. Most of the names of the mountains have their origin in an indigenous tongue, mostly Quichua. The word “Andes” itself comes from ANTI, which means “where the sun rises”.

Coast: From north to south, beautiful beaches stretch across the Ecuadorian Pacific, along with ports, fishing villages, modern cities and protected forests. The highest mangroves are found in the Majagual forests, in the Cayapas-Mataje Ecological Reserve. In the Machalilla Park, in the sea, the virgin beaches and the forests are linked with the history of pre-Columbian cultures. The city of BahÃa de Caraquèz was named an ecological city. Very close to Isla de la Plata you can see humpback whales that arrive every year from the Antarctic to mate between June and October. The largest seabird refuge in Ecuador is on Santa Clara Island, south of the coast. The City of Guayaquil, the main Ecuadorian port, is considered a model of urban regeneration in Latin America and is increasingly consolidated as one of the most important convention destinations in the region.

ITINERARY DAY BY DAY:

Day 1

NORTH SEYMOUR ISLAND

AM: Upon arrival at the Baltra Airport, travellers pass through an airport inspection point to make sure that no foreign plants or animals are introduced to the islands, and to pay the park entrance fee of $100. A guide will meet you, help you collect your luggage, and escort you on a short bus ride to the harbour.

PM: North Seymour Island

This islet is one of most visited sites, and it is teeming with birdlife. An easy circular path takes you through the archipelago’s most extensive colonies of blue-footed boobies and frigate birds. At the beginning of the breeding season, adult frigatebird-males blow up their vivid red pouches to impressive football-sized balloons. This is one of the few spots where you can compare the magnificent and the great frigatebird breeding next to each other.

Day 2

GENOVESA ISLAND: PRINCE PHILIP´S STEPS AND DARWIN BAY
AM: Prince Philip´s Steps

Before landing, you will take an inflatable dinghy-ride along the eastern arm of the caldera. As we approach, the soaring 25m / 80ft high walls become overwhelming. Sometimes, a Galapagos fur seal is resting or a seabird is nesting on one of the ledges at the base.
You will then have to hike and overcome the steep stairs from the landing dock to a bush of palo santo shrubs on top. Red-footed boobies gratefully use these scarce nesting places; so that they don’t have to nest on the rocky ground.
Upon arriving at the edge of the rim, the bushes open up and you can enjoy panoramic views, a strong sea breeze and the amazing flying skills of countless seabirds. Following the exposed rim, you will first pass the Nazca boobies and finally reach the extensive storm petrel nesting places, where if you’re lucky you can spot the well-camouflaged short-eared owl hunting for them on foot!

PM: Darwin Bay

Inside the submerged caldera of Genovesa lies Darwin Bay, with a diameter of more than 1.5km / 1mi and it is almost 200 m / 650 ft deep. The small area will surprise you repeatedly, walking along a coral sand beach, crossing barren lava formations and creeks, passing tidal pools, shrubs and further ahead following the top of some cliffs. With this peaceful surrounding, every single species has occupied its own ecological niche (or habitat) without disturbing others.

Day 3

BARTOLOME ISLAND AND SANTIAGO ISLAND: SULLIVAN BAY
AM: Bartolome Island

The beautiful volcano islet of Bartolomé is among the youngest of the islands, and on a geological scale was just recently born out of fire. Although at first sight lifeless, Bartolomé offers some of the wildest landscapes and best panoramaso the entire archipelago. To enjoy the postcard view of the idyllic ‘Pinnacle Bay’ you have to climb the stairs to the viewpoint on top of the island (114m/375ft). Enter a dramatic world of threatening (though extinguished) nearby spatter cones, craters, and lightweight lava droplets that have been spewed out by fiery fountains. The Summit Trail is also ideal for witnessing how scanty pioneer vegetation such as lava cactus struggles to take root in the bare virgin lava fields.

PM: Sullivan Bay

Setting foot at the lava stream covering Sullivan Bay is like landing on the moon. The desolate, stretched-out fields seem mostly lifeless, but there is plenty to see on this highly popular site amongst photographers. Pacific green turtles seasonally bury eggs in the tiny white sand beach, where you might also encounter crabs, a strayed blue heron or an oystercatcher. On the lava flow, only sparse pioneer vegetation such as lava cacti and carpetweed are able to grow. You might encounter a lava lizard, locusts or a small snake-species (Galapagos racer).

Day 4

SANTA CRUZ ISLAND: CHARLES DARWIN STATION
AM: Charles Darwin Station

Although the great majority of Galapagos visitors come here to observe and appreciate natural wonders, it is also interesting to learn how the protection and conservation of the islands are done. The main attractions are the National Park information centre, the Van Staelen Exhibition Hall, the Breeding and Rearing Centre for young tortoises, and adult Galapagos tortoises in captivity.

Assisted by the naturalist guide and some crewmembers, the dinghy will bring you and your luggage to the Baltra Airport, where we will take the shuttle back to the airport.

Weather, wildlife breeding, safety concerns, instructions from the Galapagos National Park, specific abilities and interests of passengers as well as operational matters may cause your guide or captain to change the time or nature of visits.
